Lawns & Borders

I was approached to create a clean, elegant website as a contact point for Nick's gardening business in Hawkhurst. For this project, I drew inspiration from floral color palettes and incorporated vibrant images of gardens and flowers to create an inviting, visually appealing design.

I was given full creative freedom for this project, allowing me to bring my vision to life in a way that aligned with Nick’s gardening business. I thoroughly enjoyed working on it, and the client was extremely pleased with both the quality and the quick turnaround.

Design Process

I started by crafting the header and hero section to establish a cohesive colour palette and set the tone for the entire site. This also helped me finalise key design elements, including buttons and typography. Nick also requested a logo, so I designed a minimalist leaf icon in a dark green hue to reflect the simplicity and elegance of the site.

The website includes four pages: Home, Services, Pricing, and Contact. This made it a compact but rewarding project, allowing me to focus on creating a seamless user experience across each page.

After designing the pages for desktop, I then moved on to making it responsive across tablet & mobile which proved a challenge with the extensive use of images across the website. Nevertheless, the end result was fantastic.

Results

The final product was a floral, visually appealing website with an intuitive user interface that Nick found impressive. Another successful project delivered by ForkLabs!
